Xcessible DLR: INCLUSIVE FUN DAY!

A while ago I wrote about a really Fun For Everyone day we had in our local Leisure Centre that was organised by DLR Sports Partnership and the Irish Sports Council. We really had a great time that day and a new (and very therapeutic activity) was discovered for my soon-to-be 12 year old son. He took up trampolining with the SuperSonic Trampoline Club as a result of that day and is thoroughly enjoying it ever since. The Occupational Therapy benefits of this activity have even been noted by his OT!

I now  have news of another FUN EVENT being organised by DLR Sports Partnership but this is one with a difference. This is an Inclusive Leisure Centre Initiative - FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES.

The Xcessible DLR event promises to be a fun and popular afternoon so please let us know if you are coming along by return email (to poconnor@dlrcoco.ie) or phone 01 271 9506

Please do contact DLR at the above contact details with any query you may have AND to let them know that you're coming.

I have made brief queries on behalf of the Autism community and have been reliably informed that all disabilities, abilities and ages are welcome! And of course assistance dogs too!

Please arrive early, about 2.45pm to register early.

Go along and enjoy. You never know,  you just might find a new activity for the child or adult in your care :-)

xx
